We survived!

The last few weeks have been ridiculously fun, but they have also been ridiculously busy! Tomorrow will be the first day in weeks that we will be able to just hangout and chill. This is going to be a long post--the longest ever I think, but I am playing catch up here. So, First off-here is a cute pic of my girls doing something that they love to do--reading. I found them one day cozied up in their dad's office chair reading stories together. I love how cute they are together. Later that same day we took the girls to see the Princess and the Frog. We went with their cousin Molly and all three of the girls seemed to love it. It was a cute show and fun for FHE.

Here we are at the tree Lot picking out our tree. This was the one! Every year Ryan and I go through the should we get a real tree or not....For now onI am sticking with a real tree. It is worth the money. They smell so good and they make it seem like Christmas to me. It was fun.

Lexie had a friend over, Kenadee, and we made gingerbread houses. Once my friend Christa and I figured out how to build them, the girls had fun decorating them. It's definitely a tradition now.

Here are the girls in their Christmas Dresses. It is so hard to get them to both smile and look at the camera at the same time. This was the best I could get!

Before Christmas we were able to have a Christmas party with Ryan's family. Here are the kiddos in their Christmas jammies that their Grandma and Grandpa Galbraith bought them. Here we are all in Red...It's a great color isn't it?

Christmas Eve we were able to go over to our friends, the Robison's, for dinner. They went all out! We had crab legs, steak, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, rolls, caesar salad, shrimp, sparkling cider, cheese fondue, is that it? It was seriously the best meal I have ever had. It was so fun! We played games, and just hung out. One of the best Christmas eve's we've ever had.

And then there was Christmas day. It was awesome. My dad calls these early years with my kids the golden years. And now I know why. They were soooooo fun. Lexie ran down the stairs and in her most surprised expression and voice yelled, "Oh, for me?!" Then she ran to all her presents and and immediately grabbed one of Shay's and said, "Here Shay, you go first". It was the sweetest thing.

I made Christmas blankets for the girls...Shay is seen here snuggling with hers. Although you can't tell by the expression on her face, she did like it. And she better, I started those in July and finished them days before Christmas!! But it was worth it. They'll have them forever.

As you can see, Lexie was pretty excited about her pink recliner. She and Shay got matching ones.

A couple days later, we went to Ryan's sister, Natalie's, house. They live 15 minutes away from Snow basin, so the boys went skiing and snow boarding, while the girls made a few cute crafts and watched the kiddos. Later that night we celebrated Lexie and Major's Birthday's. Major's is on December 29th, and Lexie's is January 3rd, so we combined their party. Neither of them seemed to mind. Here they are with their cute Mickey and Minnie birthday Cake that Ryan picked out. Ryan had a White Elephant party with all his high school buddies a few night later. It was a reunion of some sort. He had a good time and came home with a puzzle....yeah...it's white elephant right?

We just got back from my brother Trent's wedding. He married Kayla on January 2nd, and they are seriously such a beautiful couple. It was really fun to see all my family. They were married in the Las Vegas Temple. Kayla's dress was beautiful. All the little girls were calling it a princess dress. Lexie couldn't take her eyes off her!

At the reception they had a huge dance floor and DJ. All the Grandkids danced all night long. Lexie and Shay loved it!! Shay would cry if you took her away from the music. We stayed until the DJ left. And seriously, are the girls dresses not so cute!?!

Lexie's Birthday was on the third, Sunday. We were driving home that day, so we celebrated today. We started off the day by going to Smith's Grocery. Lexie LOVES to go there in the morning and get donuts. Almost every weekend she begs Ryan to take her. Then we went to the dollar store and spent some of her birthday money that some family gave her. She LOVED it. The dollar store is her heaven. In her own words "It's amazing mommy". Later tonight, we opened presents and decorated cup cakes. She is quite a cutie. We love her so much!

I told you it's been a whirlwind! Now we are hoping life will slow down--but just for a little while!
