This is a day I hope I never forget--today was the first day Lexie picked up a ball and bat and was caught playing by herself! Playing ball is in my girls blood and today she proved it!!! It was actually pretty cute because it had been left out by her older boy cousins and she found it while we were all eating outside. We all seemed to see her at the same time and noticed that she'd put on her uncle Preston's hat and was setting the ball on top of the tee and hitting it off with the bat. She'd swing and say "Hit!" Truly, I had tears in my eyes. It was a proud moment. Hopefully this is only the beginning!!!
Earlier in the day we'd pulled out a slip and slide and the grandkids had a blast. We were able to go over to Ryan's parents home for a family BBQ this afternoon. As you can see the girls have the same swim suit on--Myself and Lexie's Aunt Nicole bought these swimsuits seperately and realized we'd bought matching ones after the fact. Who knew we had the same good taste! Don't Molly and Lexie look darling?
It took her a little bit to warm up to all the water, but she loved it!
Shay has finally been getting more teeth! Unfortunately though she had a fever all day and hasn't been feeling so good, so she just hung out on the sidelines with Mom.
It was a fun day! We love our girls and are so proud of them both!
