We had a great time this Halloween Season.  Here are just a few things we did as a family. For family home evening the Monday before halloween we decorated a Haunted House.  The girls were very intent in decorating it--actually Shay ate most of the candy and Lexie decorated it, but they both enjoyed it.
If you can believe it these next two pictures were the best we could get with the girls--truly they were. :)
We took some fun pictures of the girls in their Witch costumes.  I found the hats at Target for $1 which I added some elastic, made the tutu's, and thanks to my sister Natalie, embroidered their little t-shirts.  I think they were cute little witches and they LOVED wearing them!

Cute cute girls.......

btw, Lexie LOVED wearing makeup....she wasn't a huge fan of the mascara but LOVED  her blush and eyeliner.  Daddy didn't love the makeup though--it made her look 'too pretty' so he says.  How can our daughter look to pretty?  Isn't that every girls dream?

Here they are at our Ward's trunk or treat.

Halloween morning we made chocolate chip pancakes with silly faces--Here was Shay's.  It was the first time I ever made them and definitely won't be the last.  You heard me say chocolate right?  Enough said.

Afterward we carved pumpkins--Surprisingly Lexie LOVED it.  Shay thought it was cool but wasn't quite as interested.  I thought they'd be grossed out by the pumpkin guts but they dug right in and thought it was pretty awesome.

Here's the pumpkin Lexie and I carved together--it says 'trick or treat'.  Both the girls really were darling when we put the candles inside.  They were so proud!

Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year we opted out of trick or treating, which was pretty sad actually but we made up for it I think.  We went to our friends the Hall's, which are kind of our family away from family friends, and we had soup, played games and decorated cookies, and gave out candy to the trick or treaters.  We had a blast!

Even daddy got in on the fun.  We played pin the hat on the witch, Hot and Cold with witch hats, read a Halloween Story, watched and Halloween movie, and...

decorated sugar cookies and....

gobbled them up!

The day before Halloween we got to go to a pumpkin patch....well sorta.  The grange--one of the community centers we live by, were giving out free pumpkins to people in the community....we took advantage of it and the girls really liked searching for their perfect pumpkin!

I thought this was a DARLING pic of my girls.  I love that they are so close.

Here was the cute group we hung out with on Halloween.  We love our neighbors!  We had fun celebrating and can't wait until next year when we can trick or treat!  But we are enjoying Thanksgiving season.  Glad to finally be here!
