Every year since we were first married, Ryan and I have been able to visit Grandpa Galbraith at his cabin in Idaho. It's been a really fun tradition that we hope doesn't end! We went up on Thursday and stayed through Tuesday. We're glad to be home but miss all the green! And Grandpa!
We always like to go to a little place called Big Springs. The girls had fun feeding the fish and taking a little nature walk.
Lexie was CRAZY about Grandpa. And I'm pretty sure she had her grandpa eating out of the palm of her hand. They were pretty inseperable the entire trip.
Driving in the car wasn't exactly Lexie's favorite thing. Shay thought it was pretty cool because she got a new car seat that faces forward and she gets to watch TV!
After Big Springs we headed over to Mesa Falls--it is gorgeous and huge!
Lexie obviously needed to take a nap--she was in no mood for pictures....
But Shay was willing!
Shay really had fun just crawling around everywhere.
Saturday we were able to go to yellowstone.
Lexie's favorite part of the 4th of July was painting her nails red...she wouldn't stop begging until her wish was granted. How could I resist?
Sunday was Grandpa Galbraith's 94th Birthday. Lexie picked him some flowers--she was pretty proud of them.
Some good friends--Anita and John, threw Grandpa a party. Food was great--lots of friends, what more could you ask for?
Monday night we finally did smores with the girls. Lexie thought the marshmallows were pretty amazing. It was a really fun trip and one that we are always happy we take. But we are glad to be home for a bit!

You are so good at taking great pictures of all the fun stuff you do! Your trip to Idaho looked so fun and beautiful! What a great tradition!!!! I'm glad you've been having a good Summer too! Isn't it crazy how busy it gets?!
And it was so good to hear from you....honestly, it has been FOREVER since we acutally hung out! I have a few things planned this week but next week on Monday or Tuesday I'm free! Wanna get together? Hopefully I run into you before then though!!!
