End of an Era
For almost three years I have either been pregnant or nursing. Well this streak ends today--well almost. I'm starting to wean Shay today--which is a little earlier than I was planning but that girl can bite!! It's her new game and I have to put an end to it. So, today I am giving her her first bottle. I am having mixed emotions. I'm so sad that my baby is growing up and I'm sad to not have that special time with her that I get to have at least four times a day. BUT, I can't wait to just be me again! It has been a very long time! So, wish us luck! We're going to need it!

You and I have something in common. I just weaned Kolton and he was 16 months! He bit like crazy and was so hard to wean, plus he got sick in the middle of the process and would only nurse, so we took some steps backwards. But it turned out fine and it feels good to be back to normal again. Good luck!
So sad! It is a special time together. Ellie just nurses at night but I'm trying to wean her. Extra sad because I'll be done nursing forever :(. Time to move on, so happy but sad too.
PS I don't think I'm going to get to visit you since it's already the last day of the month. I still love you though!
It will be done before you know it. Enjoy the end cause it is sad but I promise you will LOVE being you so it will be worth the hard days!
I wish you luck! Hopefully this will be an easy process. I do not yet know what you are feeling because I couldn't nurse Carson longer than 2 months! I didn't produce enough! But even after 2 months it was still hard on me!

Molly says Shay now, it's so cute! You'll have to hear her. She says Molly too, but Lexie is a bit tough for her :)
ah, yes, i knew well the phase of life of either being pregnant or nursing. i got pregnant with my 2nd and 3rd children at the same time i was weaning the older. it's crazy.
as much as i LOVE nursing, i also hate it. :) i never miss giving it up; it's always the right time for me and the baby.
good luck - if you do it slowly and gradually you shouldn't have too much of a problem.
p.s. you have such a beautiful, beautiful family!
I hope it's going well so far, and even though it's sad they grow up, it's really good too!!! ENJOY being YOU!!! After all it's been a while!!!n :)
